Dedicated storage in the United States: tell us who will use it

The capacity you need in Miami depends on who consumes the data and how often. Message us with that usage profile and we will help you separate what must always be available from what can be archived.

Select storage around the people consuming the data

The United States Storage catalogue contains twelve HDD capacities from 100 to 650 TB, with 10 Gbps ports. For a shared platform, start by identifying its data consumers: an interactive application, an analysis team or a process receiving complete deliveries. Define the portion each needs and whether it requests originals or a prepared representation. This helps avoid a space budget covering only incoming data while leaving the service's outputs uncounted.

GNU du can estimate the directory space required by those representations. Measure the common collection separately from output intended for each consumer, recording which outputs must coexist. Compare the total with catalogue options and consider whether every representation needs to remain on the server. The resulting capacity choice is tied to the store's purpose and to the specific needs of the people and applications using its content.

Separate the full collection from frequently requested data

United States Storage provides HDD space for the full collection and 128 GB of RAM across its twelve configurations. For a collection receiving repeated queries, identify the documents accounting for most requests and estimate that group's size. The complete collection and the material used within one session can have very different footprints. Include that distinction when comparing offers, even if it does not change the total capacity you want to retain.

If the application keeps responses in Redis, its documentation describes cache hit and miss observations. Prepare a sample containing frequent queries and requests for less popular material, recording the two classes separately. The aim is to estimate the memory space that benefits the service while keeping the full collection in its HDD budget. Select capacity for all the content and evaluate query behaviour with the active group the project actually expects.
